This one source is The Hindu
Coaching institutes will just pour thousands and thousands of fact based info for just having a high hit ratio
Is it possible to cover all daily current affairs, daily editorials, daily quizzes, Prelims test series and what not and then revise them?
No, it is not healthy to do this
Follow one source. That's enough.
About Our Initiative :
This initiative is intended for all aspirants, whether fresher or otherwise.
The most important aspect of UPSC-CSE is covering current affairs (CA).
-
30-50% of questions in Pre.
-
40-60% in Mains.
For CA, the most recommended source is the Hindu or Indian Express. We have chosen The Hindu as our main source as it covers both Pre and Mains. Just reading The Hindu serves no purpose. It requires constant revision.
Revision can't be done from the newspapers again and again.
Note making is crucial.
Typically, it takes 2-3 hours for note making of all important news and editorials.
So, this initiative is to save your time, which is used in note making.
This saved time can be devoted to other aspects of the examination like static portion, answer writing and optional.
These notes are perfect for revising.
Revision is the most crucial aspect of this exam.It gives you the power to link topics. We follow mainly only one source i.e., The Hindu.Though the pre-based monthly magazine will have detailed information of each term, which is not covered in the Hindu. This would be more than sufficient.
Should I read newspaper?
Yes, In 1 hour it can be done.At the same time, if you are comfortable in understanding concepts without reading newspaper, then you can save even more time.
Recommended procedure to cover CA
